DESIGN ATELIER
The workshop will be organized into three teams, led by three different architecture studio.

ATELIER 01
Lina Malfona
Founder partners of Lina Malfona Architects
ina Malfona (1980), an architect and a scholar with a Ph.D. in Architectural and Urban Design, teaches as a visiting critic at Cornell University AAP. She studied at Sapienza University of Rome under Franco Purini, with whom she worked from 2005 to 2012. Since 2008, she has been both teaching as a visiting professor in Architectural Design Core Studios and working as a postdoctoral research fellow at Sapienza University of Rome. She has been guest and visiting critic at Cornell AAP, Columbia GSAPP, ENSA Paris Belleville, Harvard GSD, NYU, NYIT, RISD, Politecnico di Milano, Syracuse University, University of Pisa, and The University of Queensland. In 2013, she was the youngest scholar to have obtained the national prequalification for tenure positions as Associate Professor in Italy. In December 2018, she has been appointed Associate Professor in Architectural and Urban Design at the University of Pisa, where she directs the research lab Polit(t)ico.

ATELIER 02
Karim Nader
Founder of Karim Nader Studio
Karim Nader is an architect whose work is silent, but never still. Contextually and textually engaged, he practices design fervently and conscientiously, believing that architecture moves through nature as much as nature moves through architecture.Nader graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture with distinction from the American University of Beirut in 1999. He was the first prize winner of the Azar Award as well as the third prize winner of the Aareen Award for excellence in architecture. In 2003, he received his Master of Architecture from Rice University (Houston, Texas, USA).

ATELIER 03
Pedro Campos Costa
Founder of Campos Costa Arquitetos
Atelier Campos Costa Arquitetos, founded in 2007 by the architect Pedro Campos Costa, has been developing a multidisciplinary practice in projects such as the Lisbon Aquarium Extension or the rehabilitation of the Hotel Ozadi in Tavira, or even the riverside and Quarteira Municipal Market . At the same time, it develops projects that range from the design of furniture objects in cardboard and cork, with the creation of the CaCo brand, to curatorial projects, scenography, installations, research and organization of national and international workshops.
